Managers Suspended

Yesterday 19 Sept ,several Delivery office Managers were suspended in the South MIdlands area.
It is alledge that they were claiming to have totaly clear offices when in fact they had piles of dead letters in their offices.

It would seem a rather harsh punishment to suspend Managers over dead letters if this is the true cause of the Suspension,
Although the some of the managers involved were regarded as decent and fair by their staff.

Why would anyone have piles of dead letters? It's more likely that they haven't been clearing their offices and haven't been reporting the failures.

If several DOM's from different offices were all suspended at the same time then some kind of investigation has been going on in the background...and i would doubt it would be about dead letters.
That may be the reason given...but it won't be the reason.

Yes I do feel sorry for them........ I don't think so !!!!! Welcome to the real Royal Mail though i'm not saying everyone but hundreds of Posties have been punished for such offences for a while now under the new brand of management bullying took over, only fair management are treated in the same mannner and see how it feels.
Then perhaps we can all get together and return to our Inneficient days gone by when most everyone was happy in RM's employ and WHEN WE MADE A HANDSOME PROFIT PROVIDED A MUCH CHEAPER AND BETTER SERVICE UNTIL GOVERNMENT REGULATIONS STIFLED THE BUISNESS .....

they want to get round a few offices they'd find mail being left in most days, managers know its being left and doing nothing about it.

I don't think the issue was whether the office was clear or not.
The issue was declaring it clear when it wasn't.

The manager in charge of us is always streaming the letters on a particular walk so as it looks like it has'nt failed and also the test letters and riffet letters get deliverered to hell with the rest of the mail and packets, he is already up on a charge i hope his time comes

Strangely I left my dead on Saturday with manager approval of course as I concluded that delivering live mail was more important that marking up dead mail some of which was months old. As has already been suggested I think there's more to this than 'dead mail'

most of them declare it clear when it isnt,,loads of parcels left undone. 'thousands' of d2ds failed and put down as 100% delivered. if it was us, we,d be on the dole. they should all be rooted out to give them the taste of their own lash!!
