area managers ..managers .doms .dims .linos .whatever you call them.. are as bad as as any postman caught stealing letters pkts etc ..bullshit,..lies,..bullying .harassment ..fake promises .running away from problems ..failure to put down extended or overtime. ( which is illegal ) (not paying extended at all an area managers directive) .i get stressed out about confronting them over being continually cheated i have given up ..what sort of job is this for f@@cks sake ..the higher echelons of the union dont care ..the workers are scared they will lose there jobs ..so take it all up the ass ..seems anything is fair game in a recession.

An appalling situation for postal workers.
An outsider looking in, could be forgiven for thinking we worked in a non-unionised industry.

The problem with our union is that there not really addressing front line issues. Bullying by managers, unrealistic walk lengths, forcing people to lapse (when not possible) and not getting overtime. People who work overtime should be entitled to their overtime not intimated in working for free. (recent post). Whether a new start or a guy whos worked 20 years.
The union need to address these issues quickly and swiftly. I only work a couple of days so maybe these issues are getting addressed.

It's got that bad with the DIM saying " yes you have time etc " I've started using an app on my phone that show the route i've taken , average speed , highest speed and time taken. Sad its had to come to this but you have to cover your arse these days. I'm sure there will be something in the rule book that RM will use to say this isn't allowed though.

started walk seq 2 weeks now place is a disaster , sometimes only 4 at sorting but manager? says its our fault is it ever anything else my wee dog could run our office better than the shower ( no pun intented ha ) THAT WE HAVE AT THE MOMENT that wouldn t be hard though
