Back pain using LWT?

Anyone suffering back pain from using the LWT?
Twisting your back to grab the handle?
Push or Pull the trolley?
What training have you had on the LWT?
Do you carry a bundle of mail whilst pulling the LWT?

Only used one during the snow last year. Suffered back. kneck and shoulder problems for about six weeks after.

It's a shame if using a LWT causes health problems for some people but it pales into insignificance against health problems caused by carrying a bag over the shoulder . I look at posties who have been carrying bags for over twenty years and a lot are are phyisical wrecks . The number of senior staff having to finish for health problems is frightening .

one of our guys went off after a week of using the lwt.
he's still having test's but the doc's haven't ruled out its because of pulling the trolley.
the SOW for the LWT states the trolley has to be pulled but the doc's saying pushing it would be better as you use your whole bodies force rather then just isolated muscle's.

when we had our training, the trainer didn't even have a LWT with them, it was kinda just mimed
i carry a bundle while pulling the trolley.

Cripples my back pulling it or pushing it. Personally push it as it causes less pain. Also any medical expert will tell you to push a trolley, as it does not twist your back.

i carry bundle and pull the trolley when i first used it had a couple of incidents on uneven ground where the trolley stopped while i walked into the handle giving me some serious bruising ribs and once knockin the wind out of me

I suffer with back problems and having been carrying a bag on the bag (manager says so), I know have a LWT, been using it for the last part of my duty, 108 del points, I find it with two bags on it, quite nice and I push it, though sometimes i have to pull it to get up little kerbs.
I also carry a bundle of mail.

By the time I use it I am usually shattered as it is at the end of my duty, but I quite like using it, though i do still use my ctcle also.
