duty pick

we had our duty repick this morning, i had it worked out that there would be 1 duty left when it came to me and there was 2 but they was both dring duties and i dont drive,theres 6 temp part timers below me but only one can drive and he got one of them.i asked what would happen and was told by one of the managers they would try and get one of the ones who was refusing to drive to change there minds but cant see that happening,so i am presuming i will be sent to another office?, can they send me to another office while keeping someone less senior than me at our office?,

just found out theres been a mistake with the repick and two people had to be moved and another duty has popped up,there doing another repick tomorrow from the most senior part timer and been informed by a colleague that they think its a non driving duty that has popped up but not 100 percent sure,i will find out tomorrow.

hi can any rep give me some advice as we havent seen ours , we have just had a full office repick , there is somebody leaveing in a bit and there round should be advertised , is there a rule where the people who have already picked have to stay on there duty for 12 month and cannot pick it .

14.9 Employees taking up internally-advertised posts will be dedicated to them for a minimum of12 months. No applications for job moves will be considered during that period,

Thats from the way forward agreement - but that is for advertised posts not sure if it applies during a revision.

TBT is right, on both counts. That 12 month rule applies to people who have picked a duty that was individually advertised and picked. It does not apply to everyone just because everyone has just had a re-pick. However, what might apply is the rule in the Way Forward that says vacancies are only advertised every 6 months, or when the number of vacancies reaches 5% of duties. If so, it could be a while before the up-coming vacancy is made available to pick. Also, the 12 month rule doesn't apply to stop someone from taking part in a re-pick of new/changed duties, just because they picked their current duty less than 12 months ago.

any info on if someone can no longer take a walk duty but can drive and that same person as been moved to top of senerioty list because of it( can this happen) to me if can't do the job then medically retire them
