Done the same in my office last year.It didn't work,loads of cut offs on delivery -Yorkie's of packets lying for days untouched .Managers were being extra nice, so that you would work OT.No questions asked when you extended.Lots of deals were done(1 hour work for four hours pay etc)But hey,that's what happens when you try to do xmas on the cheap.

same happened at our office(only small the canteen was full) last year over 100 yorkes of packets from xmas that got delivered by end of feb

May coincide with the arrival of new Health and Safety drive in BA offices. All part of world class mail. Being given lots of new standards and rules to keep to probably overloaded him. Just when he thought he was in charge someone arrived and told him that he was only a cog in the machine. He shouldnt go out for a drink though with the new arrival or he could end up literally knocked unconcious.
