Re-pick swizz

Near the end of our re-pick, been a L/R for over 6 years.
Just managed to grab a duty, only 2 left or 3 if I agreed to drive.
What tits me off is a few duties were held back for those still on 3 day week!
Most of these duties only got made into job share less than a year ago and was told were temporary and all duties would be made available when the re-pick was announced.
So now even though I've several more years seniority than most of them, some jump up the ladder dispite seniority.
Glad I got a duty, and it probably would have been my pick even if the others were on offer, I would prefer to stay a L/R if they sorted out a fixed rota day off, but fed up of not knowing my day off until fri/sat, union rep useless at that dispite umpteen moans!
But it seems a con for those just below me who remain L/R when a few others jump the queue because they're P/T
Not 100% sure but it's the union who set out the system too!

Perhaps you could drop your hours to match thiers and let one of them take your full time job?

Going to make a radical suggestion here. Why don't you go and see the DOm and demand a long weekend in six.. or whatever the floats get (as that should work) .. I did it at my previous DO [/i][/b]

lost count how many times i asked, last meeting rep had with dom, they came to an agreement that when i went 5/6 weeks without a sat off, i asked and they'd try?
thats what its always been like!
anyway, thats another argument i perhaps shouldn't have dragged in.

the argument was for the few who should have been next up on seniority ladder but they had the rug pulled from under them.
no doubt most folk would say "tough luck" with the way things are with the job these days,
but there are a few left who feel some sympathy for others who have been shafted.
whatever hours you work, seniority shouldn't change.

I am assuming that Duty Holders get 1 in 6 (or something like that)off? If they do then you are entitled the same. Also, read your contract.
