Board gone up today stating 1 round will be from 11am to 7pm and 4 Rounds from 10am to 6pm - On a household delivery duty

That would probably mean no more runs between MCs and DOs on the night shift (which would save RM a ton of money - what's the take-home pay for night shift MC drivers without overtime?) and all MCs night shifts would probably be 00:00-08:00.

The agreement with Post Comm and the CWU is that town deliveries must be complete by 3 for towns and cities and 4 for rurals.

The way mail centres clear is all intra and neighbours should be cleared before 11 at night and all distant before 0600. This therefore allows for the two waves of mail to be sequenced.

Now you seem to suggust that these duties are for door to door items which is again wrong as this is now in workload and therefore should be done in normal deliveries.

Again I ask why has this been agreed. If on the other hand it is an hybrid duty with some collection work than this is ok as the agreement allows for hybrid duties especially as Royal Mail are attempting to move to just 2 collections per day in areas which they think do not warrant more.

Intra and distant mails get sorted together and have done for some time now. It doesn't make any difference as to when it gets to the DOs, the first runs to DOs in night shifts generally don't leave till around 04:00ish. Once DO start times get late enough then there probably won't be any runs to DOs leaving before 06:00
