streaming mail/ cutting off

saturday busy dsa bulk delivery every door elect reform letters.
told lm could not complete in time who then went round everyone if they wanted to work ot and complete delivery.those who didn,t want ot were advised to stream bulk posting .as i had all mine in frame i told him i was leaving section of mail in frame not streaming.he told me i was the only person cutting off.
are mgmnt allowed to stream mail surely that is wilful delay

any manager who told you to do this was to have his name, date, passed up to the area rep so that they could take it further

We were told on saturday that we could stream out DSA in order to allow us to complete and apparently this came from above

We're now told can't cut off, if we're not out the door to standard. That is of course using the Indoor Workload Tool to measure individual performance, and we ALL know that's not on don't we." Oh yes it is" they say "and if you dare not to complete we'll have you for wilful delay." That's a laugh the place is full of wilfully delayed mail, delayed by them 'cos they can't get it out. We are on the revision trial, hopeless impossibly huge rural deliveries not enough on IPS more on double prepping-shambles. The IWT says how many we need on IPS and if you don't get through it's because you're NOT PERFORMING TO STANDARD again. After a few decades in this job it's clear we've been wrecked by the bureaucrats from The E.U. through Westminster the Regulator and then down to our very own headless chickens. Happy days.

Only Mailsort and Cleanmail have been removed from the USO.

On 1 August 2011 Postcomm announced its decision to confirm its proposal to remove bulk mail from the universal service. Our decision to remove Mailsort 1400 First and Second class and Cleanmail from the universal service follows a three month consultation on this proposal and is one of a number of changes to the universal service we consulted upon that are being made prior to transfer of regulatory responsibility from Postcomm to Ofcom [1].

Most of what used to go via mailsort now goes via DSA and so it's covered by the USO. Cleanmail is part of the mech stuff you get from MCs and should (in theory) arrive at DOs walk sorted along with the other mechable walk sorted stuff. It wouldn't be practicle to sequence it separately.
