How is door to doors equalized in your office?

A few years back everyone knows you got paid your door to doors per household and people who had more calls got paid extra. Fair.

We get on an average week 3 d2d. Town duties with say 500 calls, handle 1500 items minus floaters share. On our rural duties with 250 calls, handle 750 items and once again minus the floaters share. But in our office our manager has done nothing to equal out the workload that once people used to get an extra £20 more than others.

In your office what has been done to make it fairer for those with bigger frames?

Nothing, because we don't get paid for delivering them now and they are incorporated into your prep time. More D2Ds = more prep time= less delivery time!

We all get to work our contracted hours.
It's a sneaky trick i know but it means that the guy with 7000000 D2D gets to go home at the same time as the guy with half a dozen.
Don't tell management though.

So you have had delivery taken off to incorporate your extra d2d?

Absorption = volumes are down so you don't need any extra time to prep.

Being paid more/less according to the amount of leaflets one delivers is a concept I'm glad is gone. Paid by the hour is the fairest pay system


The problem is/was that due to the DS being paid from within existing ESA/DTD monies you create winners and loosers. If the entire 6.9% increase on basic pay was paid in one go last year then there might not have been loosers. If there was then a supplement could have been paid until basic pay caught up.

At 3 items a week at 1.67 or roughly 5p per house when we had the old way it would be £45 for 900 calls.
Now all we get is £16 which works out at roughly a third or 0.5p per household.
The asylum seekers ( hope I dont offend anybody as I dont know what else to call them) who deliver the pizza leaflets around our area get £20 for 500 leaflets cash in hand which is 4p per leaflet or 8 times more what we get and they dont get taxed on top of it

No, but cut-offs are more prevalent now!

Worrying about how many D2D someone else has is only an issue if you're looking to score time.
After all we've been through with the job losses and the job going part-time and probably casual....why would anybody still be looking to score time?
It's employment suicide and i'm not exaggerating...i've seen the savings plans....some people obviously need to shoot themselves in both feet before the message gets through.
If you want to see the job part-time keep trying to work part-time hours and pick up a full-time wage...or even give the impression you're working less than your contracted hours...and we'll see what the next two years bring.

We get paid per hour they get paid per item. You can't really compare the two, I know which job I would rather have though.
