Criminal record check

Post by splatterfaces »

How long does it take for Royal Mail to do a criminal record check. They said it would be 7 - 14 days when they first contacted me, having got a job. But its been over 2 weeks now. Did anybody else's take longer? I don't have any convictions.

It takes longer because you need an enhanced check as you're working with vulnerable adults.

Yeah but you leave the managers behind when you go out on delivery

Crb checks on average take 3 weeks. Wouldn't worry if you're clean.

The wait can be anything from 3-4 weeks to 6 months or more. No joke. Well it is but, well, um, it's not. 3-4 weeks to 6 months or more.

Suddenly nothing happened.

1 month in most case - 6 months is probably at the far end of a possibility curve.

I have just started as a postie last week, the crb took 3 weeks, then I had to wait 2 weeks for the induction day, I started at the delivery office the following day. So on that score I'd say you will have an induction within 2 weeks
