Non Culprable Ineffiency(NCI) Procedure

As you know I have been put on this procedure and it started last week, (see other post regrding the dom folowing me on wed)
It includes prep testing over the whole delivery duty from throwing off fist letter to walking out the door, I call it harrassement, but anyway my dom is trying to save seconds lol and one of his idea was to carry the mail with a band round it

1.Does any one else do this as I have never heard of it, Once I Get a bundle out of my pouch I take the bands off.

2. When a prep test is done he is using the method of calculating it over the whole indoor period via his p.c/IWT, Now I have been doing it over a 1 min test with my H&S guy and over the 3 days we have done various 1 min tests using Sequenced mail and no sequenced what basis does RM use
BTW my rates were 31,28,25 sequenced, 18,23 non sequenced.

3. he is also saying how long it takes me to do a del point ( I always said it depends on how long a drive/pathway is he disputes this and is saying it should take 30 secs )
I have counted some of mine to front door and back,and they are over 65 paces some being 75, though i do have small legs so my pace is smaller.

4. when the delivery spec came spewing out his p.c it said the delivery first letter started at 12.30 I know I met him at 12.15 so he has readjusted the del spec to make it look like it never took so long

My dom is at another office next week so will have week of no pressure ,

I leave one band on my bundle until near the end of it, saves doing a round-up if I drop the bundle but that was the way I was taught.

Same here, keep the bundle together with one band so you can still remove the top letters

I am not nor have ever been a CWU REP! But this seems wrong to me and "I" would say B&H! PM your post to Dingo as i am bloody sure he would know what’s what. There are test for information and tests that they can council you for and as such it is, or seems to be a grey area, we need a "black and white" list of can and can`t do things! RMC have gone way further than the CWU in posting many things in the downloads section altogether but the CWU site should have a FAQ section to deal with their complicated way of organisation. Good luck and don’t let them grind you down. Oh and if they say don’t do something or do something to try to improve performance then they could say it was a reasonable request and as such you should do it and not stress about it as it their choice and they then except responsibility for the change and or idea. Still that is just me and not CWU policy?

Leaving bands on is a PITA and can make it awkward to get letters out. No way on earth is it quicker.

Just make the bundles a comfortable size for your hands and don't put loads of small packets in them, the bundles I see some people make they must spend all their time trying to keep them together.

The DOM can't tell you how to do your job, everyone has their own preferred way of tying up, marking for packets etc.

If this is not an agreed procedure with the CwU for RM letters and is something that the manager is applying incorrectly could it not be a clear case of discrimination?

My sick record until the dog bite incident was really good, but I have been put on stage 1, but head office CWU are taking that up.

I also checked the link out to what had previously been put on here, I have the same flow chart also, reading the comments it seems that one poster seemed to have the same problem and that they RM9DOM seems to chabge the goalposts in rates , as I noticed at the start of the week it was one figure and as soon as I was almost to it it went up

I will see what happens the week after next but basically it was down to the fact that i cut off 2 months back, but other posties in my office have cut off or claimed o/T and they have not been put on it

I will put back up the following week what happens over that week if the union have not stepped in TOWIE Mum

I spoke with Rob Jenson this morning regarding Pareto following his visit to N. Ireland. He confirmed that the only process to be used is the National Agreement - Individual Performance Standards (IPS) and this will be dealt with sensitively. There will be no displaying of any information relating to any individuals performance. If performance issues are identified in line with IPS then this will dealt with through counselling and where necessary training. We also discussed IWT and he confirmed that the IWT is an office based performance measure and not a measure of individual performance.

I anticipate that this should resolve the problem. However if this proves not to be the case then let me know ASAP and also advise our members not to participate.

I don't know anyone that does - I make them so they don't fall out of my hand in the first place (though it has happened 2-3 times in 10+ years).

Let's be honest, drop a bundle and one pathetic RM red band isn't going to keep it together

The bands are good, used once, and then thats it.
