EVR, Done by seniority or Age?

I thought EVR is offered to staff going by seniority, Now i've heard that it is given according to your age.
Can someone confirm this please.

Seniority is the correct process, BT2010 did away with age criteria.

not really one bloke got it with 12 yrs service hardly senior but he was 59

Its seniority of those who want it, so if RML have five VR's on offer and six people want it the five most senior out of the six get it.

People sometimes forget that you only need a selection criteria (e.g. seniority) if there are more takers than there are VRs on offer. So if there's 10 VRs on offer and only 8 people put in for it, you could have the most junior person in the office getting VR. Which may explain a previous post about someone with only 12yrs service getting VR

Definitely done on seniority.We had EVRs in Exeter MC last year which were way oversubscribed - so many wanting to get out of the business. Eventually 8 were picked on seniority to go in September and got big payouts which included £1400 for their colleague shares!!!

is this true anyone,was told evr now is 2 years wages only when reached certain years.

True. Maximum payout is 104 weeks wages.
