Hi, I have been employed since end of June on a 6 month temp contract, 20 hours per week. Received a job alert by email this morning for a 12 month 24 hour per week contract at my DO. Should this not have been offered to me or the other person who started a couple of weeks after me? Just seems a little unfair.

i would be tempted to apply anyway if it was me and you wanted it it. speak to your dim. he maybe able to advise if you can as i don't know the ins and outs of the temp contracts but i cant really see it being any probs if there is i am sure someone will advise you soon.

Thanks, I will try to speak to the manager next week, but I am afraid it is very much one rule for one and another rule for another at our office.
