If more strikes are called will we have the same support as the first time round? Some ones in my office not so sure as they dont believe strikes should have been called of to begin with.. lets hope we do, i believe we will.

Well I can't speak for otheres, but I'll still be out on the picket line come hell or high water. We only had about half a dozen cross the picket line last time, and I hope we have the same support.

The only bugbear in all this is the fact that management have had quite a while to put contingency plans in place when the talks fail...I believe the managent had no intention of honouring the agreement set out by both the Union and Management....I just hope most people I work with see the screws for the lying gits they are....Though I don't think the screws realise yet how close to the axe falling on them is too

Did anyone expect RM to bowl over at the first strike??? Did any one in there right mind think that if we post a few letters to No 10 or moan a bit on here that RM would say "OK BOYS N GIRLS YOU CAN HAVE WOT YOU WANT WITH SUGAR ON TOP?"

NO!!!!! I DONT THINK ANYONE DID IN THERE RIGHT MIND... WE ALL WANT IT OVER AND SORTED BUT WE ALL HAVE TO BE PREPARD FOR THE LONG HAWL... It aint even started yet and good people are worrying and putting doubt in there own minds.... Which is contagous!!! So please dont.... I understand this thread but the more we all talk down and doom and gloom RM win.... They win hands down...

I believe this to be a very valid point and although at Sevenoaks we've had 100% support up to now, I'm not confident of that continuing . . . . . . . . BUT to be on a positive note, I know that we will still get a good percentage support and that will be more than enough to completely screw up the system . . . . let's not forget we are heading into a busier time of year and any disruption will be magnified from last time . . . . . we still have more than enough support to make ourselves heard

the union come in for a bit of stick but who ever thought out the rolling strikes deserves a medal.
the one day strikes was'nt bothering them to much but after 2 days rolling strikes all of a sudden the head honcho leighton makes an appearance at the talks, royal mail have spies who look at sites like this and know thefeelings of the members.
it want take much to get the members out again everybody is pi--ed off.

My grandad was involved in the 1911 Transport Workers Strike in Liverpool.
