Previous day's mail brought back.

Just hoping someone can clear this up for me, I'm on the same round all this week (I'm a reserve) but the guy that covers the round's day off every week, hurt his ankle half way through delivery today. My mate has just told me that the brought back half round of mail hasn't been delivered. Does this mean I have to go in tomorrow to and deal with the 2 bags that hasn't been delivered, plus a full round of tomorrows mail also?

This doesn't seem right, that its down to me, because the DOM doesn't want to pay OT, to get it cleared. Any insight on this would be great.

Put it back into the frame and then don't take out what you can't get delivered within your time.

If it's not been delivered then it gets done with the next days mail.

If you can't get it all done on time and the DIM doesn't wanna pay OT then just inform your manager and take what will take you to your finish time. If you can manage it all within your time then you just have to do it.

Incidentally - Only 2 bags for half a delivery on a Wednesday? That's gotta be a decent duty!

Ask the DIM/Lino what they what you to do 1st , re prep mail and prep tomorrows mail. Again ask the DIM/Lino what they want you to do , if they offer you O/T and you want it ok , if not tell them you're not working over and ask them what they want you to take. Leave the decisions to the ones that are paid to make them also see your Rep and get witnesses to anything the managers say to you.

Use a trolley put the packets in one bag on one side and the letters in the other bag , simples

Had 7 proper sized bags today and it was the lightest weds I've had since we started P & L six months ago....

...fortunately that means I always cut off and just do the nice bits of my walk so it's not all bad!

I dream of a 4 bag duty. I always have 7 (except Tuesdays where i can usually get away with 5) and if the mail is any higher than average i have to split 3 of the 7 into 2 giving me 10 bags! And that's pre-revision.

2 Bags of 10 kilos would be ok - 2 bags of 16kg plus - I really hope for the injured postie that the bags are like the first rrather than the second example.
