My delivery office has a car park next to it, where Royal mail employees can park using a permit, which the Royal mail gives them. Anyway I came back from my round today, and seen that I have a parking charge for not displaying my permit.
I did have it on display, but it was only half showing as the other half slipped down the gap between my windscreen and the dash.
Anyway any one with a similar experience. Do I have a case if I appeal ?
I really dont want to be handing out £25 especially when I have a permit and it was on display all be it showing only half of the permit.

Most of these companies take photographic evidence of non display...ask to see the pics.
If you are appealing do so quickly because there is usually a time limit.
The address/contact details to appeal should be on the ticket.
Be careful that there are not extra charges for not paying within a certain time limit.
Sometimes it's better to pay and then claim back...sometimes it's not....depends the company.

Is it a private parking company charge? (ppc) at £25 it sounds like it, dont bother appealing. Look online for pepippo, their advice and BBC's own watchdog is don't pay it!
I'd appeal it, I got a parking ticket once for using a permit, I was informed by a traffic warden i could park there, then the next one come along and gave me a ticket.
I appealed and it got dropped :)
TBH I think they're right in fining you, legally anyway (morally parking fines should be for dangerously parked vehicles only but that's another argument), they'll say that you have to display the entire permit for the attendant to be able to read it (or something equally pedantic)....................been through the same because my wife parked 6 inches outside a parking bay and got a fine.
Take it as a learning experience and don't do it again.

Unless its a council or a police ticket then you can't be fined by a private parking company! Its only an invoice.

As NCP are neither the police or a local council they are a PPC
