Does anyone know what the loop is for on the left sleeve of the new red polo shirts?

not that ive seen one (i wear a shirt) but would it not be for the old style badge or the new style bike light, just a guess.

"Redshirt" is a term for a stock character in fiction who dies soon after being introduced. The term originated with fans of Star Trek (1966–1969), from the red shirts worn by Starfleet security officers who frequently die during episodes.

I think they are popular as easier to iron or something. Prefer blue myself

Polo shirts - not my favourite style of top - too much like the Lacoste fashion from the 80s.

I believe it's where Royal Mail recommend you thread the noose through after you've put it round your neck. I believe it's due to H & S rules. However they regret to say that you have to provide your own tree to attach the other end to.
