Booking in Returns.

I don’t know if any other office does this but we are asked to book in our returns (Example) Special delivery’s and recorded delivery’s and just normal packets.
We once had a book on every frame to book the returns in but managers are saying “stuff is still going missing” now the managers has changed the rules and its one office book for Special delivery’s and one for Recorded delivery’s and another for packets.
We had this once before and it caused arguments between staff coming back at the same time and some gob shite sitting writing his stuff in the book in his best hand writing taking his time.
I think it’s a load of codswallop and what does it proof? Lets look at it this way, anyone could bring back a small packet book it in the book and keep the flaming thing. When the Phg starts looking for it the postie can say “you lost it mate I booked in on 23 .08.2011 What is the sense in this book????

I wouldn't use it tbh,many a time something's gone missing when i know 100% i've handed it in,f**k that,on many occasions i've gone hunting for it and found it's been put away wrong ffs.
Signing to say you've handed something in only for it to go missing for whatever reason is asking for trouble.

I wouldn't sign anything to say i was leaving something unless someone else was signing to say they had received it.
That's the nature of signing...to move on responsibility otherwise...what's the point?
