number of specials on the pda

Is there any way of finding out on the pda how many Specials you have delivered?

I think managers have a software program called Black bay on their laptops that tells them exactly what time you deliver any items that go onto PDA S /D R/D or Tracked.

If you suspend coms it will list everything you have scanned in one of the tabs not sure if this is allowed though i just noticed it when system was down the other week and stuff wasn't uploading.

It would be a good idea to give us a running total during delivery if only to let us know if we've one missing.

Damn I wish I knew about that last year after I left my PDA on someones window ledge.
I put the damn thing down to post a 739 card then left the bugger behind and could I hell remember where I had left it, so I had no choice but to go to every house again until I found it.

You're lucky you found it, we've had 2 permenantly AWOL - it may be worth mentioning here that unless an investigated claim is made within 14 days then the lost PDA will not be replaced, something they fail to mention unitl it's too late.

They will be replaced providing the criteria is met, but in order to do that you have to be aware of it. Having said that, it is possible that you go through the rigmarole and the sodding thing turns up, so it has to be a pretty tight schedule, because you have to wait for a while to see if it turns up.

I'm only asking because someone at our office was given a warning for leaving a special in the van when he finished his shift.
It was a letter which had fallen down the side of the seat of the van.

With my shared van duty over christmas I'm expecting about 7 specials, 15 tracked and 30 oversized packets per day. With both of us working as efficiently as possible there is a significant possibility we will miss a special and I'd like to be able to check we'd done them all before 1pm and to count how many we should have before we return to the office.
