I have to attend an Atos appointment in another town,it will be on my Wallington week off.Am I entitled to refund of my train fares , lunch and travel time ?
If so what is the name of the form I will need to claim travel and subsistence ?

just ask your line manager he will help i got 40 pence a mile when i had to travel from newcastle to carlise for my induction my line manager processed it got it 2 weeks later on a seperate pay slip with non taxable t&s

Yes. Save your bus/train tickets and present them to your manager.
I got mine back from manager after asking about it. Another thing in RM they like to keep quiet unless you ask

Thanks for replies , can I also claim the travelling time and consultation which could be almost 6 hours on top of train fare and lunch.?

You should be going in RM's time, not your own. You would claim overtime for anything over your hours. Royal Mail don't provide your lunch when your at work, so can't see them providing it when your not.. So I would say no to that one

I will be on my Wallington week off and therefore think I should be paid , after all it is work- related .Why should I pay for my lunch when I can have it for free at home as I normally do on my week off.I never take sandwiches to work so I dont see why RM shouldnt pay for my lunch , travel and, as its not in work time, my hours spent travelling miles to see a doctor for their occupational health purposes.

Ah but your not getting it free at home... you're emptying the fridge that has to be filled in the first place, take a packed lunch =]
Or as I did, made a day of it with my sister in the city, had lunch, retail therapy, good company....
I did call the boss and let him know my times, like how long travelling, how long in there etc and he paid me for that time, no idea why he didn't pay my lunch or retail therapy :)
