Christmas Casual Concerns!

After the events of the last week or two,i can't help feeling worried that we may face real problems recruiting at Christmas this year. Most of the casual staff Royal Mail usually employs to occupy it's warehouses will either be in jail,or won't need a job as they've already stocked up on dvd's,phones,electical appliances and anything else they can get there hands on!

Whilst not against the rules your post does one thing I hate. You assume everyone from somewhere are all the same in other words you put people in little boxes and expect them to fit. Cameron and the Daily Mail do that and I dislike both for the same reason

Here is a fact that might come as some surprise.

Thieves come from all countries, as do Heroes. Murderers live in every nation as do law abiding people. I am aware of no single nation or territory that suffers a singular idiosyncrasy of humans and then deports it to other country, I would be amazed if anyone had.

Please don't base peoples morality on their nation of birth, but rather their own actions.

I don't think we will have any trouble hiring casuals a couple of my friends have already been asking about it,having said the last 2 years we haven't had casuals on deliveries been plenty in MC end of building tho

As you may or may not be aware, Eastern Europeans have been filling the gap in the country's labour force for years, doing jobs where local recruitment has failed. If it works for other industries, why not Royal Mail?

Am I missing something here?

Bunkerland stated that there may be a shortage in casual workers this Christmas and Staphylococcus stated that there would be plenty of East European immigrants willing to work for RM.

Whereabouts did Staphylococcus mention that they were all thieves? Nowhere I can see yet people have put these words in his mouth and others have applauded this act!

Personally I think that Bunkerlands statement that the majority of casual employees RM usually use are prone to rioting and looting is a much clearer example of "put(ting) people in little boxes and expect(ing) them to fit..."
