FUTHER ADVICE REQUIRED PLEASE

I have gone through the conduct code for a relatively minor offence (though it actually took 3 & 1/2 months to conclude) and the case against me was supposadly prooven and i was handed out my punishment, which i apealed. During the case on several occasions i asked to see documents which were used against me but i have been denied that right. The conduct code states they should be given to me (unless legaly sensative which they are not) 2 days before the formal hearing,although promised they never materialised, so that has been ignored.
Also after 4 weeks i still have no apeal date set, it is being passed from pillar to post with managers saying they have no time to do an apeal, so once again i feel i am being denied my rights as it states in the conduct code that with my punishment that an apeal will be conducted in 2 weeks.
In the code it also states that if there are significant procedural irregularities that i may contact "THE PROFFESIONAL LINE SUPPORT MANAGER".
My question is who is he/she and how do I contact them???

you need to put in a stage 2 Greivence, bypass your manager and his, and send it directly to your manager's manager's manager, if that makes sense.

Thanks for your replies already done this a month ago and they are dragging that out also. ER sent me directly to stage two but this was over 5 weeks ago but still have no date for grievance meeting even though the conduct code says a meeting will be combined within 5 days. Rung ER back but they are not interested said it's a union matter, but their not having much joy. Fair procedure my hat It wouldn't be so bad but I'm blatantly not guilty of the charge in the first place !!!!

In my opinion they realise you are right and they are giving you the run around hoping that you will get bored or too frustrated to carry it through. They use it all the time because it works, stay cool and determined pal.

it took me FIVE months to get an appeal and still RM refused to follow procedure, and I lost my appeal.

Tried to take it to an ET, but the judge ruled, that it wasn't in courts Jurisdiction!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm F****d now.

Make sure you leave a paper trail of all your requests for the relevant documents to be produced, along with the request for an appeal. Make sure you repeat the requests regularly if you have to, as it will only add to the pressure on your incompetent managers to get their arses in gear.

All paperwork management are relying on in building a case against you, must be provided to you before any formal hearing or appeal. No new evidence should be produced by them on the day of a hearing, without it also having been made available to you well in advance.

My experience is many of these managers sometimes have very little training in these matters and seem to think they can do whatever they like. Often because they are not seriously challenged they will get away with these shoddy work practises.

Often a case can be won on the failure to follow procedure correctly but you must be able to prove this, hence the repeated written requests on your part. Keep a diary and update it regularly, include anything relevant however small at the time as this will help you in later weeks. If your case is backed with facts figures and dates it makes it even more difficult for them.

Thanks for your help. did phone ER at sheffield today.... nothing to do with them, but gave me a number for employees advice on grievance/conduct issues etc. I rang them, they were very sympathetic but can't do anything about managers ignoring procedure (Yes i thought that what is their purpose!!!!!!) said there was nothing more to do but keep on pestering them via the union who they are also ignoring. What a wonderfully fair procedure..... Unbeleivable!!!!!!.....

Since you have gone nearly all the way on this send an email to Moya, if you get no joy then she and all the very top senior directors are sanctioning these delays and abuse of procedures.

Dates, times, names, letters, recorded delivery numbers.
