THE COURIER ROYAL MAIL PROPAGANDA PAPER

Post by flyingsam »

The Courier is a great way to get depression, don't read it.Its a shame there are some good stories of how postman raise money for good causes. But then it is filled with rubbish like, every months they tell you mail down ,you are lucky to have a job, there are only 160-180 letters in your mec tray (280 plus in mine every day last week) the competition this the competition that. Then we have our leader Ms Greene telling us we all have to work just that little bit harder for less, then the same old story next month and so on,(talk about a carrot and a stick)so Royal Mail can move move forward with their changes and reward you for all your hard work.in these difficult times.Stick with the changes she keeps on telling us,and you will be rewarded,(like the shares pay out)There is always a nice picture of her caring face. What a load of bullshite.
Jupiters cock let me spread my cheeks for some more deep Royal Mail shafting. :wave

I agree sam, it's a wind up. Try getting a black marker pen and writing RTS Refused across it. :Very Happy You can RTS it just like any other crap you don't want. Beware though one month you'll crack and think "I'll just have a quick read" then..."Bastard they've wound me up again!" :arrrghhh

I used to kill off my own Courier for ages then I thought why should I do my posties job for him, so now I just bung it back in the postbox. I'd like to think I'm making a statement but I doubt RM/Courier give a s**t! :Very Happy But then neither do I! :dance

It's good aiming practice for the bin. I can't believe a word they write in it.

If you do something special - save an old dear from falling in the snow or think of a way to save them millions (so they can have a photo giving you a £10 voucher) - can you refuse to be in it ? It may be in our contract to take part in promotions. Could they ORDER me to smile for the camera ? I would have to take a sickie - too embarressing.

do they not realise that brainwashing techniques are so twentieth century.
It's time they thought up some new ways to drill into us that we are underworked and overpaid.

I agree with all the sentiments expressed in relation to the Courier. Balance, fairness and impartiality is the order of the day and it is time the Royal Mail started to appreciate the different strands of opinion which are out there, and which regularly feature on Royal Mail Chat. People might just begin to take the Courier seriously, if for instance, the CWU had a regular column, and for that matter, allow the CMA to put forward their side of the argument on behalf of the managers.

At present, the Courier is just so predictable in everything it does and I do not foresee change in editorial policy anytime soon. Thankfully, Royal Mail chat fills the considerable void which the Courier has created for itself. I simply cannot understand why the Royal Mail seeks to alienate itself from its own workforce. I am all for people telling it how it is and reading the threads on Royal Mail chat, I certainly do not agree with everything that is said, but, what the heck, that is what you call democracy, free speech and the suchlike. The Royal Mail would do well to take this on board and who knows, this company might just begin to get somewhere, instead of just drifting aimlessly and as I said on another thread, 'staring the knackers yard in the face'. That is where we are going at the moment, but of course, the Courier would have us believe otherwise. I am not so easily fooled and neither for that matter are the contributors on this thread.

I had to stop actually sitting down and reading it a couple of years back (well my misses banned me :left: ) because all i would do for the next hour was get wound up about the content and bang on about it. Its always the the same thing with pictures of happy smiling faces and headlines like "its a big thumbs up from somewhereville DO etc" :left:

The final straw came from the ColleagueShares  con so now i put it straight in the cat tray and they show their opinion in their own special way. :nana
Rows of houses all bearing down on me........I can feel their blue hands touching me.......All these things in all positions.........All these things will one day take control..........
