12 week 20 hour temp contract!

Hi All. I have been given a 20 hour temp 12 week contract, is this likely to be extended or does it follow the principal of being terminated on the expiration date, don't fancy the job centre again!!!!! Apologies if this has been asked a 1000 times, also what should i expect on my first few days etc! Much appreciated.

First few days you will follow regular postie who should show you how things are done then you will do full round.

Don't be afraid to ask regular guy questions they get paid extra to train newbies.

What? I've shown several temps various duties and nobody ever mentioned extra pay to me!

Only the Workplace Coach gets extra for giving tuition........no one else does

Yes they should.
It is about £18/week.
I will try and find a link to it. I am sure it is in the WAY FORWARD.

OTHER ALLOWANCES

In addition to the assigned allowances, there will be a number of intermittent non-pensionable allowances:

TPO bank holiday passenger £1.94 per hour
Training Allowance (non-school) on conditioned hours £18.36 per week
Weekend SA involving at least 3 hours LGV £6.97 (or £4.69 for vehicles up to 7.5t)
driving (vehicles of 3.5 tonnes and over) for each attendance on a Saturday/Sunday payable only to employees on SA who are not in receipt of assigned LGV allowance.

I 'think' the wayforward thing is a little bit out as such now we have the workplace coaches.
I'm sure there is a thread on here 'somewhere' that states that you can get a daily allowance for training.

Where there is more than one New Entrant commencing in the same week Coaches will be required to provide a suitably experienced individual that the New Entrant can shadow. These individuals will receive the daily non-school training allowance for each day they are assisting with the Delivery Coaching.

Which should be around 6squid a day.

We had about 8 newstarts, so seven suitably experienced individuals were chosen to help with the coaching for a week.
I showed the DOM the above agreement and he agreed they should all receive the daily non-school training allowance.
It took about 2 months but eventually they all got the £18.36 as stated in the Way Forward Agreement.
You would have thought it would have gone up in line with wage rises but apparently that was the only figure anyone could find, so that is what they got.

Well now you know better,if they done it for the whole week then they should of got the £30.00 as per the new coaching agreement.
