Hello everyone, I´ve been in the company for 9 years now and alot things happen over the years .. and I been off work for 3 months on depression..
What´s happen now my manager ask me to go to the oficce every monday just to see his face and talk for couple off minutes...This annoyng a bit....
Since I been there I never sow this procedure...I ask the manager if this is really necessarie, he sayd it is...
What I want ask is: if you on long term sick do they have rigths to ask you go every monday on the oficce to just see your manager?
I think ,what they want know is Im around and not on holiday...

Have you been refered to ATOS,if not ask.
You do have to keep in contact with RM regulary,'personally' i would do it by phone.
Your manager is a cock,especially with your condition,also...

Put it in writing that you suffer from anxiety attacks upon leaving the house, ask him to come to you or do it by telephone! Tell him he is adding to your stress by making these demands on you.

these sick absense meetings are only about conning sick people into returning to work, often with the promise of alternative duties or reduced hours.

one other thing.....

i was getting the meetings weekly for a couple of months but then i got a meeting i couldnt attend,

i rang the area rep and he told me to ring the DOM and tell him i could not get there though he was wecome to come and see me at home.

i only get one if i miss an ATOS appointment now.

Me too,I echo what protect_us says .... keep your chin up,buddy ...

My situation has been well documented within this forum,but thankfully I have the support of my GP,Counsellor,The CWU,with my DOM being very understanding.
This is a horrible trauma,that we are experiencing,and working within the Royal Mail at present doesn't help anyone,let alone if you are suffering from depression (a very stressful job,nowadays)
Their are plenty of people in here,that will always reply .... mazza,for example has given me some great help and advice....
Just make sure you seek your GP's help and advice,and if you are currently going through counselling,you need to LISTEN and TAKE IN what it is he/she is trying to achieve.

amazing how depressed people come back to work when they only got 50% wage after 6 months.
we are all fed up but still go in everyday.
shall we all just give up?

the doctors surgeries are now full of postman /women ,reg stress,depression , where has the dignity and respect campaign gone??? and where is our union ,we pay fees for? What a mess,,,

You can't tar him with the same brush as one of your colleagues,i'm guessing that is where you got your analysis from.

Tell him you're not fit to go into the office because it makes you feel worse when you get home. He can't force you to go in although he will lead you to believe he can but he cant.
