ass asin is not employed by the Metropolitan Police to devise strategies to maintain/increase government funding for the police but if he were he would have suggested the following: assassinate a petty criminal in a high-profile manner in a volatile, hopeless area and then demonstrate your complete inability to cope with the fall-out. Result - current levels of police funding protected for a decade or more. Happy days.
