Managers Latest Trick.

In the office this morning all the early birds and break dodgers was ready to out the door at 9 50 am even though we are not due out till 10 30 am when the manager told them to get back on the IPS till 10 30 am and that did sicken them good style.
Some posties that should finish at 2 30 pm was caught out coming back at 1.50 till the managers again told them go on the sorting till 2 30 pm.
They let everyone clear out and had the IPS frame clear till they started bringing out Deliver by Tuesday mail.
Well no sympathy with these idiots they brought it on themselves.

its a waste of time coming in early at ours, the sequenced mail doesnt get there till 8am. great seeing the look on all the faces of all the flappers and panickers. ha

Manchester and our sequence boxes arrive at 8 30am got to take our full 40 minutes break at 8 20 to 9am. They think their smart bringing the boxes in at that time knowing full well the dicks take the bait and work through the break.

Different offices will get sequenced mail at different times, depending on where it's sequenced and in what order etc..

Not due out of our office varying times depending on day, 10.00-10.30 ish, apart from Saturday when it's laughably about 9.30.

We have to make sure all missorts cleared and walks thrown out etc, frames tidy, keeps coming out with some crap about working as a team! So if you're slow you do the bare minimum, whilst the runners clear everything and tidy up!! Some f***ing team.....

So surely taking full break from 8:20 - 9:00am goes against this

Our DO works backwards, all town duties are designed to finish at 15:00 PM; Back at the DO for 14:50 for 739s etc. This means that if you have a 3½ hour duty you'd be setting off for delivery at 11:20 AM. For a 4½ hour driving duty with 20 minutes travel, (there and back) you'd leave the office at 10:00 AM.. This means if you are employed on an eight hour day and deliver the 4½ hour duty above, you have from 07:00 AM until 9:20 AM to follow the reasonable instructions of you Manager before taking your 40 minutes meal relief and leaving.

A worker is entitled to an uninterrupted break of 20 minutes when daily working time is more than six hours. It should be a break in working time and should not be taken either at the start, or at the end, of a working day.

We are still getting out between 8.30-9.15 but have yet to have walk sequence mech and still statr at 6am

RM managers are the ones that told us due to H & S we could not work for more than 4 hrs without a break, and they used this to stop people who were doing the managers favours from claiming for their breaks at the end of the shifts.
Also stopped people from getting jobs going from p-timet to f-time for the same reason.
