Calling all senior Posties (over 20 years service)

Hiya Folks ....
Just wanted to pose a question,to all of you that been with Royal Mail,for up and over 20 years.
Personally,I have put in just a smidge under 24 years service.
It was a job I once loved,but now i'm afraid its going to the wall VERY QUICKLY :'(
Even the customers are becoming pissed off with their quality of service,that they recieve.....
Not Good,in my opinion ...

Royal Mail are not listening to their customers or their employees.Any firm that doesnt is dead in the water Im afraid. Sad but true. In sales their is a saying" win your argument lose your customer"

(22 years)Still the best job I've ever had by a country mile,but then I'm an old balding laid back hippy.I do my 8 hours with a full 40 minute break in the middle then go home stress free.I'm amazed at the amount of moaning about the job that goes on to be honest.

i have done 22 years service the thing is this was once a really good job.but now it is just a job there are a lot worse job out there.just keep hanging in there once you get use to working till your time its not that bad.but then i am off me head one day my evr will come one day

2 months short of 25 years, going in tomorrow to sign off my IHR + lump sum due to arthritis and other related stuff.

am only 48, scared and excited at the same time if that makes sense.

main priority is just to get better now.

gonna miss the lads and the banter, but not the job.

Job's worse..pay's better.
Just about balances out...
Pay's getting worse again though and after privatisation ...then it might be a crap job with crap pay.

Just over 25 years and yes i still enjoy the job
Its a lot tougher as the walks are longer then they used to be and most of my mates have left,i will be going on a drive come the next re-sign as me bones are killing me
