wheres all the newbies

im just wondering where all the new starters are and newbies still awaiting there inductions.
just wondering how there getting on with the job and if there liking it or not.

had my induction today went well , start at depot tomoz at 6.20 am finish at 2 im on a 20 hour contract but manager got me on full time this week.
I would walk 500 miles
And I would walk 500 more

good luck in the job.
but one question for your o/c why give you a 20 hour contract then put you straight on a full-time duty,
and if you are on a full-time duty when is your day off.

all the newbies that have already started with RM are prob still out on P&L :left:

just make sure you are paid for ALL hours worked, take your meal relief and dont let them force you into unwanted OT.

Cheaper innit. Works the hours they need but only gets holidays etc based on 20 hour contract.

Sounds like you are being chucked in at deep end new starters normally just come in and follow a regular postie round for few days.

If its like part-timers in my office, part-timers have taken over full-time duties. Now full-times frame up the duties for the part-timers to take out. Its ok at the moment cause its quite quiet but wait til September then we're doomed.

Started at 6.20 today was in house for 2 really enjoyed it best job I've had since left school 16 years ago.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

just started this job on tuesday. been shadowing my trainer and boxing in our walk and d2d , start at 6.20 and been finishing at 2pm im really enjoying it like i said been a joiner since i left school 16 years ago and this is a total different ball game. im having pda training tomoz then out on me walk again roll on start time.
