Double standards strike again !! Drivers Suspended !!
In the recent weeks some of you may be aware of an incident involving individuals using a van on instruction from Managers for personal use. This sad event involved some very innocent members of staff who are following a practice endemic over the weekend operation.
These individuals that used a van 6 weeks ago have been suspended. It is common knowledge other Managers have ordered your colleagues to drop Manager’s off, collect take away food, go shopping and visit D.I.Y. shops. This makes an inconsistence with what happened to the individuals who have recently been suspended and other individuals who have been faced with the Conduct Code by the same managers who order staff to drive for personal use.

It has been common knowledge at Greenford that Managers have put staff in compromising positions using their authority to use drivers and the Royal mail fleet for personal use. The burden of blame must fall at the feet of the corrupt Managers who have exceeded their line of authority by placing loyal, honest and trustworthy staff under duress into a compromising situation. These corrupt individuals are not worthy of managing such loyal staff who to this date have only been used and abused. These corrupt Managers are a minority who have taken advantage of Royal Mail, honest Managers and uniformed grades to serve their needs and not the needs of the business and customers that all Royal Mail employees are proud to serve.
The situation can be reversed, but it will take courage from Senior Managers who have to dissolve the ‘wilful blindness’ culture and double standards exercised by these individuals that have taken advantage of all honest workers in Royal Mail.
The next move is then for both Senior Royal Mail Managers and Trade unions to come together draw up a road map on how corruption can be routed out of Greenford Mail Centre. There has to be shareholders from every area of the business from Managerial grades and workers’ representatives. There has to be a level of money and training invested into both the Managers and Union representatives, so that both parties can understand the operation and then clearer communications can be fed back through the ranks of the workforce.
But the responsibility falls to both the Senior Managers and Representatives of the Trade Unions to public declare their intentions on how corruption is to be cleared out at Greenford, but as it stands so far that action has been reluctantly been avoided.

good for them if they are anything like the pr**s at ours, they deserve all they get.

and they should be out of the CWU too.

they spend one day in suede shoes doing favours for the DOM and four in a pair of magnums mopping up any uncovered duties, cut offs etc.

i didnt realise the favours were doing the weekly shop and a spot of DIY though

The rep wasn't sure where B&Q was, so had to take another driver with him.

Neither was sure where in B&Q the sandpaper was and so they had to return to fetch a colleague who knew his way around the store.
