Delivery span

Can anyone give me the definitive answer to the length of delivery span in an office which has NOT been subject to a pegasus revision or any type of revision for that matter.

Am I correct in thinking that the agreed maximum delivery span for a full-time duty was 3 hours 30 minutes? Was this a nationally agreed duration? Also, can anyone tell me what the agreed average speed we are supposed to walk at? And what about call rate? Is it 85%?

What I need is official documents which state the facts in black and white if possible.

Any information gratefully received.

I was once told by the lino that, in theory, delivery spans for towns was 3hr 30min and 4 hours for rurals.

Needless to say, theory and practice differed widely.

Delivery span.....consideration can be given to varying the span length provided that genuine and demonstrable solutions to weight and fatigue are introduced.(local agreement)

Walk Speed......would depend on terrain (local agreement)

Call rate......that would depend (local agreement)

Why no trolley? I thought that was how park and loop is supposed to be done, even if their GIGO computer program is no where near the reality of delivering.

And where the delivery span is capped at 3.5hr or 4hr, does it state anywhere that you can't do 30, 45 or 60 minutes delivery before taking a break and then doing the 3.5hr delivery?

It says on the document that these spans assume additional activities are light work such as letter sorting or delivery prep.

Neither,either,both...they are duty design principles.
They should apply equally pre or post revision.

No...they are delivery constraints only.
The maximum ergonomically acceptable span...not the optimum span.
