GRIEVANCE PROCEDURE......LAUGHABLE!!!!
What's your experience of this "unbiased" process that RM take very seriously...... I put in a B&H complaint only to be told it was procedural hence a grievance by ER, even though the english dictionaries definition of bullying fitted everything about my case it was still a grievance. My reply was i'm not waisting my time on some process where the offender gets to try and pass judgement on themselves, Oh No i was told it's a very serious matter and taken very seriously you must put a complaint in else nothing will change. Like a clown i trusted them and filed my complaint in fact was told to go straight to stage 2 due to the serious nature of my complaint. At this stage the manager must aknowledge receipt of the Grievance and convine a meeting within 5 days..... Guess what he's done neither after 10 days and has a rye grin on his face every time he looks at me. I've also found out he's done the same with other Grievances in our office...Took seriously my A.SE

Re: GRIEVANCE PROCEDURE......LAUGHABLE!!!!
So the next stage is to put a grievance in against your manager for failing to act on your first grievance. This grievance goes to his boss.
The time has come to stop turning the other cheek, time to stop shaking our heads in bitter dismay, time to stop mumbling our angry words.
The time has come for union.
The time has come for union.

Re: GRIEVANCE PROCEDURE......LAUGHABLE!!!!
Stage 2 grievance does not go to your manager who you are making complaint about.
It goes straight to his manager to deal with.
How much fairer & impartial than that can you get

This ain't no baseball game, you get only one chance and you blew it.

Oh ER at Sheffield must be wrong then (they who are in charge off the grievance procedure) because when I spoke to them on the phone they told me exactly what to do and who to file my grievance with In charge of the procedure and don't know their own rules and the grievance procedure they sent me must be wrong as well then hmmmmm

Re: GRIEVANCE PROCEDURE......LAUGHABLE!!!!
I'm in pretty much the same boat as you. I was advised that my B & H claim would need to be dealt with as a grievance. So, grievance put in to DOM, ignored, so I sent in a stage 2 to DSM which was also ignored. So, no acknowledgement of either grievances (which I know or a fact were received). It would appear that management are completely unaccountable. I'm at a loss as what to do now. Any further grievances to a higher authority would seem to be pointless. Why is it if we fail to follow procedure on anything then we are immediately conduct coded and management seem to be able to act with complete contempt for the rules and seem to be immune to any consequences?
I really despair of this company. Nobody is willing to take responsibility for management actions which are obviously wrong. I have tried to get the union reps, both area and regional, to take action but seemingly they do not want to help. I have a cast-iron genuine grievance but it would seem that it is too much trouble for these union reps to actually do anything to help me. Why is nobody interested and what can I do about it?

Down load the forms and send off to Moya. Be sure to write in it why you feel obliged to go to her level with your grievence and include all dates of the previous submitted forms. You will be surprised at how quickly your grievences will be heard. As for your reps they are there to represent you, give them a mouthfull and report them to CWU headquarters.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Royal mail need to be forced to use an independent body for bullying and grievances.... But there's no chance of that cos they want to have you working in fear...

Re: GRIEVANCE PROCEDURE......LAUGHABLE!!!!
Every grievance in our office gets photocopied and sent to div rep. This is as there were no records at all of grievances put in over a two year period before we walked out to back our rep. since the we hardly ever get to that, as local managers know it will be passed up.
