We had some-one in whose job description was "Planner" but he may have slept with a planner but that's the nearest he will ever come to being a planner.

There's a lump of lard lumbering around our office, drinking copious amounts of coffee, twatting about on a computer for about five hours a day, and is, so I'm reliably informed, what's laughingly known in Royal Mail as a, errr, (sniggers) errrmm, (guffaws), a planner!!!! (roars of laughter)

Personally, I wouldn't let him run a Whelk stall on Southend Pier.

In fact, nobody from Greene down to the dupe mis-managing my DO, would get within a million miles of my Whelk Stall on Southend Pier, if I had one, that is.

did have so called planners but were given e.v.r .clever move by royal mail as these
so called planners would have never gone back to being postman or postwomen as they
would have been slaughtered by there own staff when returning to delivery.
they deserve all they get they are worst then strike breakers.

from what i can understand the planners were just useless managers who had failed miserably in there delivery offices........so the royal mail logic is to let them go in and f**k up other offices. we've been told that we're not getting any planners in our office because RM can't afford them anymore, so we have to do it ourselves ha ha ha ha!!! :dcfo :ncfo

seemingly our (Prestwick) office is getting the revision put in on the last week of November ... last november our nearest office got their revision put in and they were finishing at 6pm .... f*ck that for a game of soldiers they can stick their O/T and instead i will be leaving rows of mail back in the D/O

as for planners weve had 1 or 2 for over 4 yrs wtf have they been doing cause they still want us to plot duties street routes etc im doing jack sh@@
what have they been paid for absolute disgrace play with their computers drink coffee pretend their working doing sweet fa and getting paid a lot mor than us
im only a postman as my manager used to tell me i get a great wage for doing unskilled work suits me fine let them plot routes fcuk them thats what their paid for let them earn it dont do it for them

The art of necking coffee by the jar full and a post morning IPS, sweet, bun and chocolate orgy while watching football on the internet!
