After Park and loop revision extra added to round

Question regarding Park and loop.
I am the walker and have 7 loops like my driver but this week whilst on holidayI've been told they have taken 100 delivery points off the driver and put them on to my walkers round.
We were having problems with delivering all our packets and parcels on our rounds and it seems to me that they have taken the extra delivery points off the driver so he can complete the parcels.
But the problem is that the round is too long anyway and this isnt going to make any difference as we cant complete , all its going to do is that we only bring more letters back when we cut off each day.
Are they doing this to make it easier for the postmen doing the docket as I cant see any other reason as both our rounds were Pegasus timed as the same 4 hours 15 mins before the change?

No - IMHO its a tick box exercise nothing more and nothing less.

DSM asks DOM - Have you reviewed the duties on P&L and made changes where neccessary.
DOM - Yes Boss.

Next question which is never asked is:

DSM - and how are the changes working and what do we need to do to make the duties fair and reasonable.

Who cares how much they pile on to you. Work your hours in a fair and reasonable fashion and in a pace that you consider to be comfortable. Start on time, finish on time and Bobs your uncle. No stress, just a little walking pain, after that, if they are not satisfied they can go and do one.

The only reason to add more delivery points to your duty is if your duty is faster to prep bacause you both need to leave the office together. When we are on delivery the drivers loops are marginally smaller and if there are a lot of packets then the walker takes one of the drivers loops or a street out of another pouch.

Once a Van Share is set up then it should remain as so,reason for this is that the Tools that they are using is set so that the job can be completed in the time given,any alterations should be done under the PIR meeting where your Area Representative should be at that meeting and if they consider that anything needs to be changed then that is the time to do so!Until that comes about then all should remain as the same,after all the tools are the thing that has said you can achieve it.
