People who worked their hours last week on P&L have now been told that they finished early on other days & that this will no longer be allowed. They want to start banking hours again. Can someone please post the link that we all used in the snow to good effect. Many thanx for your help, not letting them get away with this. Can see the writing on the wall now. Wont be long before they want to introduce long & shorts & start lasping. PS our P&L aint working either.

Yep your right, not going to be able to use that one. Positive that there is something else though as banking of hours is not agreed. Well fairly certain anyway. Been telling people to ask the DIM for the agreement or to show them the clause in their contract stating banking of hours. Trouble is they have all been seen individually to weaken their resolve. Not one of them asked. Our rep is supposed to be looking into it.

Two things - Agree with Postman, tell them to do one and flag it up the chain to area and STOP coming back early, make sure everybody knows that if they finish early they'll be expected to carry on working to their finish time.

What does banking of hours mean exactly? I've had times in the past when I've maybe only been given 3 hours of delivery but had to make my hours up later in the weak - despite the fact I was happy enough to do my full hours on the first day, they just didn't have the work for me to do.

That is 'flexing',you may if you wish work over one day then either come in later or finish earlier on another day.

why is it capped PM?

i would happily flex up 1.15 a day and have saturday off

You can have a local agreement if you want,i'm sure there is the odd office that does.
Doubt you'd get the sat off tho with the banked hrs.
