Quite a scary thing happening over the last week. I will try to be discreet moderators!

3 managers suspended last week over what I could describe as "nothing". However what is very frightening is that 2 CWU grades of the 3 had their PERSONAL mobile taken and the PUK codes taken. This would track their calls.To add their bank accounts have been scrutinised!!!

The oldest police force in the world! Are they allowed to do this?

So what you are saying is that managers have stolen mobiles that belong to CWU members

So what you are saying is that managers have stolen mobiles that belong to CWU members

I don' think he is saying that - he is saying that 2 of the Managers, who are acting and therefore hold CWU Grades still, have had their mobiles and PUK codes taken, and that their bank accounts have been looked at. No allegation of theft from Posties by managers as far as I can see.

To Drb - I belive they can, if I understand it correctly then have all the investigative powers of the police, but they cannot arrest or detain suspects without a Police presence. It may be that if given permission by the accused they can investigate what they want, but if they need a "warrant" then they have also to get police assistance.
