Induction day !

Hi I have my induction next week , they said it's a all day induction :shock: what's involved are there any tests during it :Very Happy

I was also asked to go to my application page on the main site and read the Welcome to Royal Mail booklet ,as we will be covering this I'n the induction , but my application says I've been unsuccsefull and I can't find the welcome pack :crazy:

Mine was basically a lot of listening about the structure of Rm, quite a bit of health and safety eg how to wrestle an alsation. A practical session on correct lifting
techniques for pouches, how to move and apply the brake on a york etc. Also had a tour of the mail centre. All very easy if not slightly boring.

Cheers for the Info , I used to fix the brakes on the Yorks , so training on how to use it should be interesting :Very Happy

Some small tests,how to pick up and carry a bag and push and stop a yorke.Also made a big deal showing a video of previous tea-leaf posties who have been jailed.The funniest thing was that i was given a sheet of paper with 30odd items to tick off when i have learned how to do them when i reach the delivery office(how to fill in a 739 etc).The 'trainer' said that my manager would expect them all to be ticked off within 2 weeks........it was discarded during the first day!
