Would they person who redirects from this office to way up North, PLEASE stop covering the name with the stickers! I'm sick of peeling them off to check the name.

a question though, i have a redirection coming to an address on my round, the address it is coming to has a redirection, if it comes in a redirect bag, can i open that bag to check that it is not someone i need to redirect or is that classed as opening mail as it's in a redirect bag?

Yes you can open it. Sometimes you may have to in order to get it throug the door. But surely you know if you have a redirection coming in which is redirected out again without having to check every day?apple wrote:that happens a lot!

Having had a number of people move into a house on one of my walks, and then at least one of them moving on again, all involving redirections, I'm going to redirect *nothing* unless I can clearly check the name. And I'm posting nothing to a house with a redirection, if I can't check the name.
Another scenario is when someone moves onto your walk and has a redirection from their previous address. If they never get any mail from it you wouldn't know that they had a redirection. After 11 months, they move on. You redirect their mail. The address gets a letter redirected to it, but the name is covered. Do you assume the letter is for the new owners? What if its for the previous owner, who've had a redirection set up for 11 months and only now get something?

Mate, don't assume anything. If you can't see the name of the person, you can't redirect it, so just deliver as addressed

and they don't know it's because a postman where they've moved from isn't doing their job properly.
