Cheeky beggars scheduled me in for 6 days this week. Didn't even ask me if I could do 6 days this week. Went in to office and said they need to tell me what day I'm off as I've been put in for 6 days. Just got a puzzled look on the managers face. Just said let me know when you know what day I'm off. If not I'll work to the end of the week and take Saturday off. Cheek!!!!

Obviously I'm new but I'm not stupid and won't have that. I'm quite willing to do some overtime if they ask and I want it. I did some overtime last week so maybe they thought I would this week.

If you're on the same duty all week just check what's day off is.

Is it a rest week duty ? Then it would be six days. I suppose its still up to you if you want to do the sixth day on OT.

They'll have you go in today(Tue) and tell you they don't need you today, you can go home and have today as your day off! They do this at our office, the so called lighter days.

Every single person on my office knows what day they are off next week, even new starters. If they aren't asked to work their day off, they don't. Everyone is on a rota, even 'spares' like me, who get pushed from pillar to post. Sometimes I'll go in and prep say, Duty 1 as thats what the rota says I'm doing, only for the duty holder to come in on his day off and say what you doing here? I'll have to go and find out what I'm meant to be doing, having not been told in advance. I thought that was bad, but not knowing your day off...

I'm contracted 35 hours a week. monday to saturday with a day off in the week plus sunday. working six days at 7 hours a day equals to 42 hours therefore thats overtime! im only meant to work 5 days a week at 7 hours a day. thats 35 hours. fools.

thats nonsense. you can't plan to do things like that. people have lives. i think they was trying it on because I'm new. Not one person on that schedule had 6 days next to there name accept me.

i know im def not cos i spoke to someone and they said everyone does five days...plus my contract is 35 hours a week. 7am-2pm. monday to saturday with a day off.
