What ever happened to 'securing more full time jobs'?

Over the years whenever a FT has left they were replaced with a PT to the point that it's about 50/50 in our office. And now that the new revision has started 9 FT have changed to PT making the majority of the office PT.

We got more FT jobs out of our revision i personally think our rep did a good job others in office disagree of course.

If you have a weak rep the planners/dom will do as they wish.

It is complicated.
The basic premise of a revision is this - the longer the delivery span the more f/t jobs you can sustain.
Of course a longer delivery span can only be accommodated by the arrival of your second wave sequenced mail at an early enough time.
Then your attendance pattern will influence things as well. You can't have a longer span without a longer day. So if a unit has opted for a 7hr 48 day they are limiting the f/t opportunities as well.
And then the 75/25 ratio is a National average.
Be happy your office is taking one for the team and allowing some office somewhere else (not necessarily in London) to have almost 100% f/t staff.

Been made up 35 hours and yes it is a temporary contract.

4 day week with 2 days rolling off week 1 m t w th do do with either collections or packet delivery ( 5 day weekend)
week 2 do do w th fr sa short day sat as longer days on week days
week 3 m t do do fr sa
all part time duties in own group ............also run herefords and 5 day weeks pt staff cover 5 day extra sats off

There are more part-timers than ever in my off and it seems that the mangers are doing everything they can to get full-timers, especially long serving ones, out...
