It seems to me where every you work in the country with RM the Dom's are just trying to bully. lie. con. harass. victimise people in to do things thats not been agreed with anyone. Its about time the CWU done something about it insteed off just takening the unions dues.

just had our revision using trolleys etc and we were being prep tested on our first day on new frames duties etc folk already off on stress due to harrassment as management trying to blame posties for crazy workloads.been doing this for 15 years and its getting worse n worse

Ive seen good Doms and bad Doms Some that could not cope and others who let people do their job for them but they ALL took the bonus quick enough.

In fairness it's worth pointing out this this sort of behaviour is not confined to RM.

Tory Government - high unemployment - I was there (not RM) in the early 1980s - and the Thatcherite values of "There'll always be someone else to do your job" have returned with a vengeance in 2011 in sooo many areas of industry. At least there's some sort of union in RM - in so many (non-union or weaker union) places this type of thing is rife ... and you never hear about it ...

Yeah,some union.So far I've been on strike twice and each time I've ended up worse off.The CWU are a f***ing joke.I make less money than I did 4 years ago ffs.

En Masse we should all join a new union,because this one is broke beyond repair.

The thing is not to let them get away with taking the micky. Learn the rules, because most of them dont! Always give grief if they try and get on your case and if you are lucky the whole office should do the same, because believe me, they get pressure from all sides.

As I've said before DIMs make up the rules as they go along very often to cover their own arse. Ask them to show you a copy of any national or local agreement if you are not happy with what they tell you. You won't be popular with them but you won't be sh*t on either.

My first DOM 21 years ago was ok but since then each and every one of them have got worse and our present DOM is a DOM waiting to be taken down a peg or 2 by someone very soon, he is an accident waiting to happen, personally I feel sorry for the guy because he is just a sad bully who many do not even speak to and even just ignore him even if he says hello to them

I've reached the stage where I'll only speak if I have to / get asked a question about the job I'm doing. There's still a few good ones around, the rest are just incompetent gobshites that couldn't manage a shag in a brothel.
