Listed as A/L for next weeks rota???

I didn't book any holidays, yet i am listed as A/L for next week?? Will this be a paid holiday and is this week off taken from my holiday days despite me not booking this holiday in??

I would assume it will be taken from your A/L.

But if you didnt book it you should be questioning it with your management.


They can allocate it due to opporational requirements but Its especially bad if they are just thrusting it upon you at a weeks notice,

They can of course allocate it to you if you are nearing the end of a Fixed Term Contract.

They cant force you to take it . Just tell them you have plans for all your A/L weeks .

If its not too much hassle why not just take it? You are lucky to get a holiday during the summer! Last time i checked our office is fully booked till end of september!

I've left them a message, as they had all left by the time i got back to the DO on saturday.

They can of course allocate it to you if you are nearing the end of a Fixed Term Contract.

I'm nearish to the end of my contract but there's over 6 weeks til it ends, so i'd much rather have had a choice over which week i get off. If there was 2 weeks left i'd understand.
