hi eveyone hope ive posted this in the right place

applied to the royal mail for a job filled all the details in and 2 hours later got an email to do the test online
2 days after i got a email to book my interview which was 29th of june and it went really well
its been now 8 days with out a reply to see how i did does anyone know how long it takes to find
out if you have been successfull or not would like to hear your thoughts thanks for looking.

They take their time with this for some reason.Just a case of waiting i'm afraid.

The time might depend on how keen that manager is on hurrying the process along. For me (and during the interview I got the impression that he wanted an urgent start ASAP) the interview was followed by a phone call giving me the good news (?!) 11 days later. The security checks then took another couple of weeks before I got a start date. Almost a month all together...

Got the phone call today to tell me the good news just waiting on crb checks now hopefully soon ad and then get me start date thanks for all the replies.

Dont do it !!!! even Tesco's is a better option ( they payout on the employee share schemes )

What is a criminal record check?

RM is better than nothing, and it pays a lot more than nothing as well.

thanks for the info, why are some people so negative about the royal mail
im lucky to get a job and be in work in this climate can you not be more postive
and give a bit advice instead of critising the job. id rather post letters and be finished for 3pm everyday
than stocking selves from 8 till 8 everyday. if ya got nowt better to say go somewhere else where people want to hear it.
