As a full time reserve in our office we work shorter days on a tuesday and saturday and longer days on a wednesday and thursday my question is if i am given regular tuesdays off then surely i am losing out are they allowed to give reserves regular tuesdays off.

Depends what your revision/local agreement looks like.are they allowed to give reserves regular tuesdays off.
Count the hours you do work and if it's over your contracted hours..see you rep,then your manager and get it sorted.if i am given regular tuesdays off then surely i am losing out
