had some leaflets to deliver today. something like we have to do 20% each day of the total. just out of curiosity how tight are they on this percentage and also do they do random checks on this. just curious as there is no actual specific address. only the roads.

im finding it useful asking stuff on here cos sometimes your so busy at the office i just forget to ask these things.

cover your arse and just do it 20% the way the company is their just looking for excuses to get rid of posties.Problem is that if your on that duty all week and say its Thursday and you havent done any door 2 doors and somebody goes sick and you are moved to another duty to cover,the postie cover your duty with 0 or not enough dooor 2 doors done could cause big problems if you get reported.I hope this has helped you mate.

yer about 20% per day, they not too botherd if you do a little less, make up for it the next day, but make sure you do em. ive not heard of them doing checks on d2d. but the way things are in this job, they are trying to find ways of getting rid of posties, any way they can. so becarefull. keep your head down, do what you get payed for.. nothing else

I managed about 40% today as the mail was light on packets and i had time. I will prob do around 30% on tue's and then 20% wed's and the last 10% thurs. If all goes well ive got fri off

However on some weeks iam still finishing them sat

You can do them whatever way you like in our office. There's always a load of 'excess' ("""""excess""""") planted by the office at the end of the week, so you won't be surprised to learn that there are a few people I suspect who don't bother doing any at all. I didn't do any today because I was on a completely unfamiliar walk and had to spend quarter of an hour trying to find a key .

i used to take out most of my D2D on a tuesday... with the remainder on monday or split over wednesday and thursday...

i've seen and heard about guys getting spot checks... but they were pretty rare... since most managers dont seem to bother about the "junk" provided its not under your frame at the end of the week or found in pouch boxes when your bags are dropped off

you have to be super carefull not to take out less than the 20% per day monday-friday, as your just asking for them to get the investigations lot in to charge you with wilfull delay...

shi*t though it is... they still class D2D as addressed mail if they decide to kick up a stink to get rid of you.

So the easiest thing to do is just follow the rules, deliver the crap, fill out the forms for any excess, and put them wherever your office stores/collects them

What a total nightmare having that shite in your frame all week, especially when there's 4-5 lots. People doing this must miss the odd letter that's mixed up in there

I just prep the daily amounts and bundle them up into 10/20/30 depending how many and how thick they are. Only 1 lot again this week though, that's 3 weeks in a row now.

If you do this you are not supposed to claim OT on Monday or indeed any other day that you do more than the alloted 20% or 17% or whatever.
