HEDGEHOG!

I saw a hedgehog in my garden the other day. Has anyone else seen something similar?

A heron was in mine last year.

I'd have doubts about that if I hadn't seen one in a tree a few gardens along from us last year too. Do you have a large round trampoline in your garden?!

No but we had a pond with fish in it - less fish now though :left:

Ahh that explains things a bit. There must be a pond over there. This hedgehog has been eating snails from round about our plant pots. The crunching noise is a bit gruesome but it means there are fewer of them for us to stand on in the dark. He must be a bit blind because you can stand still and he just walks around you quite happily.

Any other garden wildlife encounters out there?

There is a block of flats on my round that had ducks and duckings in it's small front garden last year. One guy put his kitchen basin out for the ducklings. This is like yards from a busy high street!

Saw a dead bat outside my house the other day. I think its radar was on the blink and it had flown into the building and killed itself. Not a mark on it so my cats did'nt get it.

We've got a Blackbird that has made our garden it's territory. When I'm digging or hoeing it'll come round hunting the insects and worms that I've disturbed. It's quite fearless. If I just stop for second it's in there cramming it's beak full.
And we've got a frog hiding in the Strawberry bed. I hope it'll stay and eat all the slugs.
Just spilt stain-remover down my shirt. Now how do I get that out?

Other than being a living creature a Heron has no similarity to a Hedgehog . An Heron isn't even a mammal , nature lesson over :chuckle .

Saw a conker shell in my garden , they spikey like a hedgehog is that similar enough ? But they are small green and don't move very far. :crazy: :crazy: :crazy:

They are on my beach..............to stop invading armies......................the barbed wire is to protect against the zombies (it doesn't stop them but it does slow them down a lot :Very Happy ).
