The role is being changed and the South will be covered by Gerry O` Rourke and the North and Midlands by Steve Cameron. Quarter 1 results were very bad.

At the latest hearing Gerry O'Rourke, Royal Mail's senior manager in north London, referred to Tom Doherty as a "known hooligan". This was despite the tribunal already exonerating Tom, a man with no criminal record and no history of football violence.

Until today Gerry ` Rourke was the London Regional Operations Director and was in the negotations on the London Mail centres issues. You Scots might call the other Stevie but some of us might call him something else.

To early to say whether it is a bold move , an olive branch , more of the same or a desperate attempt to get the business plan back on track. We will have to see how it devlops.
