unwanted behaviour
Hi im wanting to put a complaint in about a guy in our office but im concerned about the no snitch policy and the guys reaction. Not sure if im mentally strong enough to see it through but getting really pissed off with it now. They just can't get away with how they are making me feel. What happens if they think its not bad enough to investigate I will feel really stupid and get laughed at.

Re: unwanted behaviour
Just going by the title of the article you should put a complaint in. B&H helpline, union rep or manager, all of them should respond to your concerns (without laughing).

Re: unwanted behaviour
They boss me about, speak to me like s**t, try and control me, and I worry I may say or do something that may upset them.

Re: unwanted behaviour
Any 'no snitch' policy is purely so certain individuals can carry on their bullying / harassment / slacking / illegal (delete as appropriate) behaviour and get away with it. Pointless and outdated so tell someone immediately.

Re: unwanted behaviour
I have told a relief manager and ive got an harrassment form which Ive spent most of today filling in. Not sure if I'll hand it in tomorrow, when they were given an informal warning years ago I got verbally abused of them for complaining to the manager. Imagine what they would do with a formal complaint!! Sometimes they are ok with me but like I said if I say or do something they don't like I get mentally punished for it. It makes it so hard as we were mates outside of work but its happened too many times now.

Re: unwanted behaviour
I just don't get it, why am subjected to this just because I hadn't told them about something. Even though they were supposedly a mate dosn't mean you tell them everything.

Re: unwanted behaviour
If he's supposed to be a m8, he wouldn't treat u like sht. First step IMO is to take him aside (if you can do it) and have a quiet word about it. I found when it happened to me that this was enough to make him think about the way he was talking to people, some people don't even realise how rude and obnoxious they are whilst speaking to colleagues, next step would be management and official complaints. The B&H helpline should be able to help you out with this kind of thing.

Re: unwanted behaviour
Warn him first - if the response is as bad as the treatment, make a written note of your request and his reaction for the record - then go for the throat and submit a written formal complaint - it's all he deserves.
