Probs been done before i dunno, but we have had breaking and damage, so what's your worst trip or fall while on a walk ?

Too many to mention! But for me it was the 'almost ' one--re the 'flyng cat' when we use to go out in the dark, and deliver to many unlit blocks of flats, (Don't say I shouldn't have--Unions did nothing)--anyway, we only had the light of a small torch, and one morning, as I was making my way upstairs, the light must have dazzled a cat a couple of floors up, it made a flying leap form the bannisters, claws outsretched, and I stepped back, (Full bag on shoulder_ and I sort of rocked ,and rocked on the stairs, -Truly, I have a memory blank after this--I do not know how I didn't go crashing backwards downstairs,but next thig,, I'm on the street, being sick!

Had these large 3 storey houses to deliver which had the garages kinda cut into the ground (like basements) and concrete steps with grass either side leading up to the street door which was on top the garage so quite high.

Anyway it had been raining and i was stomping up the steps with a heavy mail bag

As i got near the top i came upon a black bag of rubbish which in my way so i side stepped onto the grass, big mistake

I lost my footing and slipped backward on the muddy grass and slide / rolled all the way to the bottom with the bundles of mail crashing down after me

I just lay there for a while quite winded and stunned

I then had to cont the delivery with my shirt & trousers covered in mud. Thankfully all i suffered was a grazed hand which i must have caught on the concrete.

This was when i started some 20 years ago and i notice that these houses have all got banisters now

In the last 2 icy winters ive gone over prob half a dozen times

Slipped on one of those drain grates that go along the front edge of peoples driveways and did the splits.... ended up talking like Mickey Mouse for a week!

We're not allowed to walk on them anymore............we've had a briefing about where we are allowed to put our feet

TBH Any time I've went over I've bounced up really quickly to make sure nobody has seen me

the embarrassment is worse than the pain

I'll have you know that I'm a very shy person who's really easily embarrassed...............just don;t mention those pictures of me in The Rocky Horror Picture Show

I went over on ice last winter but having minutes earlier done the splits going down once, this time both feet seemed to go forwards together and it was like I was pivoted like a table footballer. I went up in the air then down flush on my back, glasses flew off my face and I lay there hoping that no-one had seen me.

A bloke at our place fell down a manhole.
