It finally happened to me...

I was attacked by a cat on walk. The window was open and the cat put its head out when it saw me. I thought it wanted to be stroked so i went 'kitty kitty kitty'. It then lunged and hissed at me, fortunately i moved my hand away just in time! It continuted hissing and growling, like one of those possessed cats in horror films. yes it was a black cat. It made me shudder. The owner came rushing out and said becareful with her. Yes it was a female! He told me she chases foxes, dogs and other cats and is the neighbourhood bully. His other cat is a typical scaredy cat.

I reported when i got back in to the bemusement of others. I do like cats and always stroke them if they approach, some follow me on walks, but this incident left me a bet shaken. However i was told there are a few 'killer cats' out there who go for your fingers through letter boxes, and one female postie had her gloves riipped of my 'killer cat'

So RM does not issue cat warning cards or warnings to go with the dog ones?

Got a nasty bastard cat on one of the duties I cover. Apparently the previous postie had given it a good kicking. First time it went for me it was a bit "Omen" like and I thought WTF it's only a cat. Still keep me eye on it though as I walk swiftly past!
